The British public is watching with great attention the efforts of the police to locate the unknown man who shoot and kill inside her home in Liverpool on Monday night the nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Corbel.
The case has shocked the country and is all over the front pages of Wednesday’s newspapers. The little girl was killed by point-blank gunfire from the assailant, who was chasing a rival gang member, who broke into the family’s home when her mother Olivia briefly answered the door after hearing gunshots in her driveway.
The 35-year-old who was the target of the attacker and broke into Olivia’s house was arrested in the morning being treated at a local hospital, as he was wounded by the gunfire of the unknown.

As for the perpetrator, according to the BBC the police have already received a suspect name from two different sources. Merseyside’s local police chief has urged anyone who knows something to “keep their mouths shut”, despite fears of reprisals in the dark world of gang warfare.
Olivia’s mother Cheryl, who was wounded in the arm by the bullet believed to have killed her daughter, is also recovering in hospital.
