A schoolboy saved his mother’s life after she fell down the stairs.
After losing consciousness, Regan Deal fell to the ground and awoke to find her 8-year-old son checking her vitals.
Grayson Stewart took action and called 999 to help paramedics monitor the mother’s pulse and breathing to assess her condition.
The 30-year-old doesn’t know why she left, but she knows things could have been different without her boyfriend’s quick action.
she said:
“I don’t remember anything until I woke up and my son was on the phone with the paramedics.
– It was under the stairs. I think I lost it on the stairs and fell.
He continues: I hit my head quite a bit.
“The lady on the phone probably wanted to see how I was doing.
He looked at my pulse and breathing, then touched my hands and feet and asked, “Can you feel it?”
“I told him, ‘I have pins and needles in my fingers.’ He told them on the phone.
Grayson brought Parade home to South Shields to work in the medical practice while caring for her five-year-old brother Drew.
Now a paramedic student, Regan is recovering at home, but tests have returned no results and she has no serious and permanent injuries from the fall.
He said: “I always tell my little kids, ‘If you need anything, you should call 999.
He’s only 8 years old, but some adults just couldn’t handle what he has.
“He just controlled everything. I’m absolutely in awe.
“I nominated him for the EMS Bravery Award.”
