“We have always maintained that we are ready to contribute from our side to the supply of oil and its derivatives,” notes the Iranian minister, among other things.
Iran’s Oil Minister Javad Ouji said today that the world needs more Iranian oil and that Tehran is ready to contribute to the supply of the “black gold” without political expediency, Iran’s SHANA news agency reported.
In a statement issued after the meeting of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies (OPEC+), during which a small reduction in oil production was decided (of the order of 100,000 barrels per day, starting in October), the Iranian minister states that those present market conditions need “careful consideration” and that cooperation within the oil alliance is to the benefit of consumers around the world.
“We have always maintained that we are ready to contribute from our side to the supply of oil and its derivatives in order to strengthen energy security in the world (…) avoiding the political exploitation of energy,” notes the Iranian minister.
