The Succession Council will meet tomorrow at 10:00 (local time, 12:00 Greek time) at Palace of Saint James and the proclamation of Charles as king shall be publicly read one hour later by the lord of that house, and then, on the next day, in all the provinces of the United Kingdom.

The bells of St. Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey in London, as well as those of Windsor Tower, began tolling while the new King Charles III was on his way to London from his Balmoral residence in Scotland.

National mourning began
