In Wales, King Charles – Popular pilgrimage to Elizabeth’s coffin continues

Pallbearers at Queen Elizabeth’s coffin on Saturday will be her eight grandchildren, including the new Prince of Wales William and the Duke of Sussex’s brother Harry.

Her Wales visits on Friday o King Charles III, the final stop on his UK tour this week as part of Operation Spring Tide.

Accompanied by royal wife Camilla, the new monarch will first attend a eulogy at noon and then proceed to the local parliament, the Sened.

There, as happened earlier in the week in Scotland and Northern Ireland, he will receive a condolence address from the Speaker of the local parliament. Charles will make a thank you objection right after.

He will then host the Welsh political leadership at Cardiff Castle and then attend a reception where the devolved Welsh government is stepping down.

In the afternoon he will return to London and receive religious leaders at Buckingham Palace, in the drawing room where Elizabeth’s coffin rested until Wednesday.

At 7.30 local she will participate in one more Vigil of the Princesthat is, he will stand for 15 minutes at the coffin of his mother Queen Elizabeth with his three brothers at Westminster Hall, where the popular pilgrimage continues for a second full day.

Tens of thousands of citizens have already said goodbye to Queen Elizabeth in person. The queue of people early on Friday morning stretched almost five kilometers, with an estimated waiting time of at least 11 hours.

According to the Daily Mirror, pallbearers will also stand at Queen Elizabeth’s coffin on Saturday and her eight grandchildren, including the new Prince of Wales William and the Duke of Sussex’s brother Harry.

On Friday, moreover, Prince William and Princess of Wales Kate Middleton will visit a training center in Surrey with soldiers from Commonwealth countries taking part in these days’ ceremonies.
