According to the FSB, “this terrorist act” was organized by the Intelligence service of the Ukrainian army and its director, Kirylo Budanov.
A senior Ukrainian official described today as Wednesday “nonsense” the Russian revelation that Kyiv was behind Saturday’s explosion of the Kerch bridge in Crimea, which connects the Russian-annexed Ukrainian peninsula with Russian territory.
Russian President Vladimir Putin blamed Ukrainian security forces for the blast, while earlier today Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) announced it had arrested five Russians and three nationals of Ukraine and Armenia in connection with the blast.
According to the FSB, “this terrorist act” was organized by the Intelligence service of the Ukrainian army and its director Kirill Budanov.
“All the activity of the FSB and the Investigative Committee is nonsense,” Ukrainian Interior Ministry spokesman Andriy Yusov said when asked about Moscow’s claims, as reported by Ukrainian state-run Suspilne network.
Yusov called the FSB and the Investigative Committee “fake structures who serve the Putin regimeso we certainly won’t comment on their announcements.”
