US: Second lawsuit against Tesla in a month for sexually harassing an employee

by

A second employee of the company filed a lawsuit against Tesla for sexual harassment in less than a month, with both lawsuits denouncing a “hostile work environment” for women at the US auto plant.

Erica Cloud, a Tesla production line worker, is suing defendants, including her former manager, for “persistent and persistent” sexual harassment in her lawsuit filed Wednesday in an Alamenda, California, court.

The plaintiff claims that her manager hugged her and massaged her, while addressing her with provocative implications.

In fact, as he complains, today he is receiving retaliation from other managers after the complaints he expressed in the human resources department of the company for the inappropriate behavior.

Tesla and other defendants subjected her to “a hostile work environment that ranged from hostility to her sex to sexual harassment,” the lawsuit said.

The lawsuit alleges that Tesla and the other defendants did not prevent the sexual harassment and retaliation, nor did they take any corrective action.

Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The company does not have a public relations department.

On November 18, another Tesla employee, Jessica Baratsa, filed a lawsuit against the company alleging widespread sexual harassment at its headquarters in Fremont, California.

“The pervasive culture of sexual harassment, which includes a daily barrage of sexist phraseology and behavior, including frequent harassment in factory workplaces, is familiar to bosses and managers and is often perpetrated by them,” the lawsuit said.

In October, an African-American contractor won $ 137 million in compensation for racism against him at his Tesla workplace.
