Category 4 Hurricane Roslyn – Off the coast of Mexico with 135 mph winds

Hurricane Roslyn strengthened in recent hours – Major threat to the tourist resort of Puerto Vallarta – Hurricane warning also in the US

With winds of 215 km per hour and upgraded to category 4, it reaches the coast of Mexico Hurricane Roslynputting the tourist resort in immediate danger Puerto Vallarta.

The National Hurricane Center of USA said Roslyn’s maximum sustained winds increased to 130 mph (215 km/h) early Saturday and were expected to increase further.

The storm was located about 275 kilometers south-southwest of it Cabo Corrientesthe point of land jutting out into the Pacific south of Puerto Vallarta and was moving north-northwest, covering a distance of 8 miles per hour.

The Mexico issued a hurricane warning covering a portion of the coast from Playa Perula south of Cabo Corrientes north to El Roblito and for the Islas Marias.

The National Water Commission said rains from Rosslyn could cause mudslides and flooding.

The U.S. hurricane center also issued a storm warning along the coast, predicting 4 to 6 inches (10 to 15 cm) of rain.
