Elon Musk: The process of verifying user information on twitter is being revised

by

“The entire verification process is now being reviewed,” Musk said in a post, without, however, releasing more details about the changes that might be made.

Twitter will proceed with a review of the process of confirming the details of its users, as Elon Musk said yesterday in a post, just a few days after assuming total control of the mentioned social networking platform that exercises significant public influence.

“The entire verification process is now being reviewed,” Musk said in a post, without, however, releasing more details about the changes that might be made.

Twitter is considering charging for its upcoming security audit of user identities, technology news newsletter Platformer reported yesterday, citing two sources briefed on the matter.

Users will need to register on the Twitter Blue service at a cost of $4.99 per month or otherwise they will lose the “special badge” confirming the identity of their data, in the event that this plan is implemented according to the same reference.

The executive director of Tesla Inc has not made a final decision and the whole plan may not materialize, while according to Platformer the confirmation process may be part of Twitter Blue.

The aforementioned service was launched in June of last year as Twitter’s first subscription service, offering “exclusive access to premium features” for a monthly subscription, including the ability to edit posts.

The ability to edit Twitter posts was also made possible earlier this month after Musk insisted on using a poll taken in April asking his millions of followers if they wanted the ability to edit their posts. More than 70% responded positively.

The billionaire also requested that users who log out be redirected to a special page (Explore page) that presents the posts that have the most impact, as the American technology website The Verge reported yesterday, citing employees who have been briefed on the matter.
