The environmental activists of “Just Stop Oil” they are not afraid of anything… This time they sprayed four buildings in the center of London with orange paint.

In particular, the activists carried out their action this morning, throwing paint through fire extinguishers at the Home Office, the MI5 building, the Bank of England and News Corp headquarters on London Bridge.

The group said the buildings were chosen because they represent the pillars, which support and maintain the power of the fossil fuel economy (government, security, finance and media).

The Metropolitan Police said “officers responded quickly to all incidents and a number of people have now been arrested”.

A spokesperson for Just Stop Oil said: “We are not prepared to stand idly by and watch as everything we hold dear is destroyed, while vulnerable people go hungry and fossil fuel companies and the wealthy profit from our misery.

The fossil fuel era should be long gone, but vested interests continue to corrupt politics, government and the media, as they have for decades.”

He added: “Well, we’re done begging. We are acting to stop new oil and gas because it is the right thing to do. As citizens, as parents we have every right under British law to protect ourselves and those we love.”

Drivers angrily protested at them and tried to run them off the road, while a woman shouted that she had a sick child in her car before police arrived.
