The Japanese government’s emergency system said it had identified a new missile launch carried out by North Korea, led by dictator Kim Jong-un, on Wednesday night (2) – Thursday morning (3) local time.
The artifact would have flown over Japanese territory towards the Pacific Ocean. Authorities in the cities of Miyagi, Yamagata and Niigata recommended that their residents seek shelter to protect themselves.
The episode comes shortly after South Korea accused the neighboring regime of firing at least 23 missiles, in what would be Pyongyang’s highest number of rounds in a single day.
