A strong earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 6 was felt on the night of Thursday to Friday in sectors of El Salvador, the environment ministry announced, clarifying that there were no reports of casualties or damage so far.
The earthquake occurred yesterday at 22:26 (local time; today at 06:26 Greek time) with its epicenter located in a marine area in the Pacific, 37 kilometers south of Playa Misata (west) and the focal depth estimated to be 41 km., according to the Ministry of the Interior.
For his part, President Naguib Bukele, who reported via Twitter that the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.9, assured in turn that there were no casualties or serious damage, “thank God”.
