Billionaire Elon Musk, the new owner of Twitter, came out this Monday (7) in defense of the Republican Party for the midterm elections in the US, the so-called midterms. In a message on the social network he purchased, he urged those who consider themselves politically independent to vote for the caption.
“Power, when shared, curbs the worst excesses of both parties, so I recommend voting for a Republican Congress, since the Presidency [ocupada por Joe Biden] is a democrat”, wrote the South African addressing the message to independents.
He added: “Democrats or radical Republicans never vote for the other side, so independent voters are the ones who really decide who’s in charge.”
The midterms take place this Tuesday (8). Voters will go to the polls to renew the entire US House and part of the Senate, in addition to electing some governors. Biden and the Democrats now have a majority in both legislative houses — but the advantage is narrow in the Senate.
