“The activity of the occupiers remains at an extremely high level… Dozens of attacks every day,” Zelensky said in a video message.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Tuesday that Russian invaders aspire to control areas beyond the Donetsk region in the eastern part of the country, stressing that the Ukrainian army will not cede “a centimeter” of land.
“The activity of the occupiers remains at an extremely high level… Dozens of attacks every day,” Zelensky said in a video message.
“There are very big losses. But the order remains the same, to advance to the administrative borders of the Donetsk region. We will not give away even a centimeter of our lands,” he emphasized.
At the heart of the clashes are, according to reports, the outskirts of Bahmut, Soledar and Avdifka.
At the same time, around 4 million Ukrainians are still without electricity due to the Russian attacks. As President Zelensky said, power outages affect the capital Kyiv and 14 other regions of the Ukrainian territory.
Last Thursday, Volodymyr Zelensky said that 4.5 million Ukrainians were left without electricity, almost 10% of the country’s population before the Russian invasion.
