Zelensky: The 10 proposals for ending the war in Ukraine

by

“Ukraine has always been at the forefront of efforts for peace and the world has seen it,” Zelensky said in a Telegram message.

Kiev’s proposals for ending the war in Ukraine were presented by Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday morning, following on from what he had stated earlier at the G20 Summit.

The Ukrainian president’s message on the Telegram platform said: “Ukraine has always been at the forefront of the effort for peace and the world has seen it. If Russia says it intends to end the war, let it prove it in action.

We will not allow Moscow to wait, regroup its military, and then begin a new series of terrorist acts, destabilizing the planet. There must not be a third Minsk agreement, which Russia will violate as soon as it is agreed.

There is a Ukrainian formula for peace. Peace for Ukraine, for Europe and the world. And there is a set of solutions that can be implemented and actually guarantee peace.

The “Ukrainian formula” for peace includes the following proposals:

1. Nuclear safety

2. Food security

3. Energy security

4. Release of all prisoners and deportees

5. Implementation of the UN Charter and restoration of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and world order

6. Withdrawal of Russian troops and cessation of all hostilities

7. Restoration of Justice

8. Reversal of environmental destruction

9. Prevent Escalation

10. Determination of the end of the war

Ukraine offers the opportunity to the world’s leading states to be co-creators of peace with us,” Zelensky said.

Peskov: Kyiv is not interested in talks

Zelensky’s statement that there will be no “Minsk 3” agreement to end the war in Ukraine confirms that Kyiv is not interested in proceeding with peace talks with Moscow, the Kremlin spokesman said today. Dmitry Peskovas reported by the RIA Novosti news agency.

Speaking via video conference at the G20 Summit in Bali, Ukraine’s president today ruled out a third “Minsk deal” – a reference to the two failed ceasefire deals between Kyiv and Moscow over the status of the Donbass region in eastern Ukraine.
