Wave of resignations on twitter – Fears of imminent “death” of the platform

Hundreds of Twitter workers are expected to leave the company following an ultimatum from new owner Elon Musk, who called on workers to commit to “long hours at high intensity”

Hundreds of workers leave en masse Twitter Inc after Elon Musk’s ultimatum requiring the survivors of the first wave of mass layoffs to agree to unconditional, high-intensity, endless hours of employment or else leave.

The deadline which set the Mask ultimatum for workers to click the “accept” box, expired yesterday afternoon.

Three weeks after Elon Musk took control of Twitter, two weeks after nearly 3,500 workers were slaughtered, on top of the 700 who had already quit over the summer in anticipation of Musk’s onslaught alone, hundreds of survivors are opting out.

Thousands of users of the platform, mainly its former partners, analysts and journalists, already at night have begun to wonder if the end of Twitter has come.

Late in the evening, Elon Musk said he was not worried about the resignations and added: “The best will stay. We just broke another all-time usage record,” he also wrote.

In fact, he accompanied his posts with a pirate flag with the skull and a meme depicting a figure with a bird’s head, the Twitter logo, in front of a grave with the platform logo…

Yesterday afternoon, Twitter Inc warned employees that the company’s offices will be temporarily closed and all access will be denied.

“The offices will reopen on November 21. Thank you for your flexibility…”, an internal message informed.
