Kyiv was once again plunged into darkness yesterday after Russian shelling of the Ukrainian capital and energy infrastructure across the country killed seven people.
After the alarm went off, a band went out into the dark streets and started playing Frank Sinatra’s “My Way”, sending their own message through the music.
As the city had no electricity, the street musicians and passers-by are illuminated only by the headlights of the cars.
