After the outcry caused by Salt Bae entering the pitch at the World Cup closing ceremony and touching the cup, now the Turkish “salt chef” is back in the spotlight, again for the wrong reasons.

The famous Nusret Gökçe, as the butcher-roaster-chef is called, was rude to a customer of his restaurant in Doha, Qatar, who even paid handsomely to be served at his table by the chef himself.

Ehtisam Aziz paid $600 just to have Salt Bae bring and theatrically cut the meat to his table, to the delight of his family.

Instead the customer was left thoroughly unhappy by the chef who rudely wore his headphones throughout the show and appeared to be talking to someone on the phone.

Additionally, as the disappointed customer posted on social media, a cousin asked the chef to sign a soccer ball he had with him but Nusret threw it away.

Finally, the quality of the food was not particularly good, according to Ehtisam Aziz.

In summary, the customer said: “Wouldn’t recommend. Waste of money and extremely rude staff.”
