Two Ukrainian UAVs were shot down in the airspace of Sevastopol, a strategically important naval base, the Russian news agency TASS said.
After several days of attacks by Russian kamikaze UAVs against Ukrainian cities, especially against Kiev, air defense arrays on the Crimean peninsula, which Russia annexed in March 2014, were activated to intercept Ukrainian remote-controlled drones on Monday, according to with the Russian news agency TASS.

“Our air defenses continue to repel attacks,” Moscow-appointed governor Mikhail Razvazaev said.
Sevastopol is the main base of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. Its port has repeatedly been the target of Ukrainian UAV attacks, the most recent being reported on December 30.
In October, the Ukrainian used drones loaded with explosives to attack the Russian fleet near Sevastopol.
Information from the warring sides about the effectiveness of the Ukrainian attacks is completely contradictory.
