Louis Vuitton transformed its stores around the world for the presentation of its capsule collection in collaboration with the contemporary Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. To unveil the collaboration, a number of the house’s stores were redecorated with Kusama’s trademark polka dots, an animated painting of her in shop windows and an inflatable replica of her peering over the store’s roof on the Champs-Élysées.

The 1912 Art Deco building that houses the store on the Champs-Élysées featured large polka dots on the facade and an oversized replica of Kusama, which was fixed to the roof and looks down from there.

“Louis Vuitton celebrates its latest collaboration with Yayoi Kusama in New York with a special pop-up space in the Meatpacking District that has been transformed into a canvas for her vision and iconic art,” said the house.

In a pop-up space, in the Harajuku district of Tokyo, the yellow and black visual theme continues, while on the first floor the colors are reversed: black with yellow spots.
