Couple left their baby at the airport because he didn’t have a ticket – Video

What do you do when you fly back home, barely arrive at the airport and your baby hasn’t been ticketed? A) you quickly get a ticket or b) you leave the baby at the airport and leave.

b) also chose a couple flying from Israel to Belgium.

The man and woman with Belgian passports arrived at Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport with a baby carrier in hand, but covered in clothes.

The couple were flying with Ryanair to Brussels and arrived at the airport late. At check in the employee informed them that they cannot fly as the baby did not have a ticket and boarding pass.

Then, the “rushed” couple decided the most logical thing: they simply left the child in his stroller at check-in and ran to catch the flight.

The airport employees lifted the clothes covering the seat and saw an infant sleeping underneath.

They immediately informed passport control, where security officials spotted the couple and forced them to turn back and pick up their child.
At the same time, the police were informed and brought the parents in for questioning.

FYI, according to Ryanair, passengers traveling with an infant can either pay around £25 (€30) for a ‘hug’ ticket, or buy a separate ticket and seat for the child at the standard adult fare.
