International aid at the level of rescue teams is non-existent due to the peculiarity of the situation in the still war-torn country and humanitarian aid only started arriving yesterday
From the two deadly 7.8 Richter earthquakes in southeastern Turkey, rebel-held northern Syria already has 3,000 dead and thousands trapped and homeless.
Unlike Turkey, international aid at the level of rescue groups is non-existent due to the peculiarity of the situation in the still war-torn country, and humanitarian aid only started arriving yesterday.
People – together with the White Helmets – dig with their hands and buckets in the rubble, in conditions of absolute cold – to get the dead out of it and always hope for a miracle.

An angry and “disgusted” young Syrian girl’s dramatic plea for help on social media captures the pain, rage and despair of people in the earthquake-hit areas and has gone viral.
“It’s not our fault that we were born in this damn country, it’s not our fault for the war, it’s not our fault that we can’t leave here, we’re human too! » says patriciaa674 characteristically.

“I know that the earthquake happened in Turkey and I am very sorry. But we suffer too. We are human too. We are married people. Stop doing this, don’t help us in any way. What have we done; We are humans. It is not our fault that the war happened and what happened. We need your help. People are dying and we have nowhere for them to go. Their houses collapsed and, literally, there are children who lost all their relatives. Their entire families have been lost. Please anything that can help. Share this message and tell people that Syria is suffering. Please give anything, donate whatever you can, please help. It is not fair!”.
Reactions to… her manicure
The girl’s video went viral but – among the thousands of positive comments – some… were concerned about her flawless manicure.
The girl, in her new video, answered that she lives in Damascus, where people live in normal conditions, but she spoke on behalf of her compatriots who are not as lucky as her.
They wrote to her in the video that it is impossible for her to live in Syria and have her nails done and they accused her of having a fake account.
In her new video, she replied that “I am blessed because I live in the city of Damascus, because we have not been affected by the earthquake. We are still counting wounds from the war though. Nothing has happened here.
But there are many areas of Syria that are traumatized. But there are people without houses, without shelter, without clothes, without water and food. All these people don’t have access to social media, that’s why I want their voices to be heard,” said the young lady.
