Arrest warrants issued by the Belgian authorities against seven people where had been brought after police operations in Brussels and Antwerp about preparation of terrorist attacks. The arrested are three Belgians, one Turkish and one Bulgarian.
The Antwerp investigator decided to issue an arrest warrant for: Elias EA (2003, Belgian nationality), Sebastian B. (2003, Belgian nationality) Harun C. (1987 Turkish nationality) and Vanessa B. (1999, Belgian nationality). They are accused of participating in the activities of a terrorist group, preparing a terrorist act, spreading a message with the purpose of inciting the commission of a terrorist offense and attempted murder in a terrorist context. All the defendants will appear on April 3, 2023 before the court of first instance in Antwerp.
In Brussels, arrest warrants were issued for: Adam D (2004), Karim H. (2000), both Belgian and Sergey R. (2003, Bulgarian).
Sergey R. and Karim H. were charged with participation in the activities of a terrorist group.
Adam D. was charged with participating in the activities of a terrorist group, preparing a terrorist attack and disseminating a message intended to incite the commission of a terrorist offence.
All the accused will appear on April 3, 2023 before the Brussels Court of First Instance.
