King Charles and the royal wife Camilla are making their first official visit to Germany. At a dinner hosted in their honor by Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at the Bellevue Palace in Berlin, Camilla paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth and her husband’s grandmother, choosing the famous Greville tiara and a diamond necklace from collection of the queen.

According to tatler the royal wife wore a black dress with silver detailing by her favorite British designer Bruce Oldfield and paired it with stunning diamond earrings and a bracelet.

The necklace was a wedding gift to Queen Elizabeth in 1947, while the ‘Greville’ diamond tiara was a favorite of the Queen Mother. It was created for Margaret Greville, the British philanthropist who lived at the beginning of the 20th century.

This is the royal couple’s first official visit outside the UK since King Charles ascended the throne and their only until the May 6 coronation in London.
