From the university clinic Agostino Gemelli, where Francis is being treated, he wrote on Twitter that “the trials of life help to purify the heart”.

The pontiff was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday – due to bronchitis which caused him shortness of breath – and is expected to be discharged tomorrow.
From the Vatican, at the same time, it became known that “last night the pope had dinner and ate pizza with all those who treat him: doctors, nurses, security personnel and assistants”.
Tomorrow Francis is expected to return to his residence, in the monastery of St. Martha inside the Vatican, and on Sunday to be present in St. Peter’s Square for the Divine Liturgy of Catholic Palm Sunday.
