Five people were killed inside a residence, by gunfire allegedly wielding an AR-15 rifle, police said.

The incident occurred at 11:30 p.m. local time when officials from the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office received a call about an incident in Cleveland, Texas, a small city located about 55 miles north of Houston.

When authorities arrived at the scene they found multiple gunshot victims inside the home, police said, according to US network ABC.

Police did not release the identities of the victims or their possible relationship to the suspect, but said they were all from Honduras, ABC reported.

The shootings took place inside a home with four victims dying instantly and the fifth dying while being taken to the hospital, the report added.

The youngest of the victims was eight years oldwhile two women who were found dead were lying on top of two children who survived the attack, the report concluded citing the authorities.

The suspected killer is a Mexican man armed with an AR-15 rifle and drunk, according to authorities who are still searching for the Spanish-speaking man.
