Intermediate discounts: The traffic is sluggish – Korkidis proposes to abolish them

by

The buying movement was sluggish today, the first Sunday of the intermediate discounts. This was stated by the president of the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Regional Chamber Council of Attica, Vassilis Korkidis, for the operation of the commercial stores, after the imposition of the new measures.

Specifically, Mr. Korkidis stated: “As expected, with or without measures, the buying movement was sluggish. Intermediate discounts have come full circle and should be abolished. They no longer excite anyone, neither traders nor consumers. Those who opened this Sunday I doubt if the collection covered their expenses. “But the controls for emergency measures are very strict, the delinquent effects are punitive and fines, suspensions, arrests and, above all, stricter measures must be avoided.”

It is reminded by the Attica PES and all the chambers, regarding the extraordinary measures of protection of public health from the risk of further spread of the coronavirus in the whole territory, that from Saturday, November 6 to Monday, November 22, 2021 at 06: 00, in-store, self-employed, employers and employees, who have not been fully vaccinated or ill during the last six months, are required to perform a diagnostic test twice a week (PCR or rapid test) in private diagnostic laboratories or in private clinics or pharmacies or to a private doctor, at their own expense.

It is also reminded that in case of control and non-matching of the listed personal details in the displayed vaccination or illness certificate with the proof of identity, a fine of 3,000 euros is imposed on the customer and a fine of 5,000 euros on the company and suspension for 15 calendar days.
