Dead at the age of 47 in her house in Utah, the most famous blogger of the USA, Heather Armstrong, and her death became world news.
Her partner, Pete Ashdown, confirmed her death and claimed to the AP that it was a suicide.

“Pioneer” Armstrong founded Dooce’s blog in the early 2000s and initially wrote about her life after leaving the Mormon church, her daily life at work, her struggles with depression and alcohol, and other thoughts.
But her blog took off after she was fired from her job after making scathing comments about co-workers and her dismissal went viral.
Then she started writing about her daily life with her 2 children as a divorced mother, talking with spontaneity, humor and comfort about everything.
Its course was then steadily upward.

In 2004, Dooce became the first personal blog to begin accepting paid advertising, and by 2009, Armstrong had 8.5 million monthly readers.
That year, she appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and made Forbes’ list of the most influential women in media
Armstrong is considered the inspiration for all mom bloggers.
