Apart from Tayyip Erdogan, the fiesta was attended by Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and MIT (Turkish Secret Service) Commander Hakan Fidan, according to Manolis Kostidis.
“The ship will contribute to security and intelligence gathering in Turkey. I wish MIT a warm welcome,” he said. It will be used by Turkish secret services to gather information by air and sea, he added.
“Turkey’s security, enclosed by three seas, depends on the best protection of the Blue Homeland,” he said, using the provocative term twice.
“For the security of the Blue Homeland, we are taking many steps that strengthen the Turkish fleet,” he added.
It is noted that other Turkish officials made references to the “Blue Homeland” at the ceremony.
