The Italian prime minister Georgia Meloniin an interview today, referred to violence against women and the measures to deal with it.
“On the occasion of the day against violence against women, I would like some victims of abuse and their relatives to be able to go to schools and talk about their experience. There is nothing more useful and important,” said the Italian prime minister.
With reference to immigration, speaking at a festival of the Italian journalist Bruno Vespa in Puglia, Meloni said that on Sunday she will go to Tunisia again together with the president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and with the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte. “From the IMF and Tunisia I ask for an approach that is as less ideological as possible and I believe that steps are being taken in this direction,” Meloni emphasized.
In relation, finally, to the economy, the head of the government of Rome expressed optimism and underlined that “the GDP of our country is growing more than the European average” and that “Italy has just achieved a record in terms of the total number workers, with positive data also for the employment of women”.
