Kejriwal said the water level in the river may reach its highest point later today, while in the meantime residents move away from flooded areas.
“Saving human lives is the most important thing. I appeal for to all residents in Delhi to cooperate with each other in every way possible in this emergency,” he told reporters.”
States in northern India near Delhi have received record rainfall since the monsoon season began on June 1. with Punjab and Himachal Pradesh recording 100% and 70%, respectively, more rain than average, according to the India Meteorological Department.
Delhi has recorded rainfall that is 112% above averageaccording to the same service.
