The doctors who examined the prime minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu they did not find anything alarming and their first assessment is that he is suffering from dehydration, according to his office.

The doctors they recommended however, the Israeli prime minister should undergo a series of routine tests.

Netanyahu, 73, was taken to Sheba Hospital, located in the town of Tel Hasomer, near his country house in Caesarea, when he felt “slight dizziness”, which was attributed to dehydration. According to Israeli media, he was conscious and walked alone to the emergency room.

Channel 12 TV reported that Netanyahu felt chest pain, but this information was not confirmed.

It is not clear at this time who would replace Netanyahu in case of emergency. In 2006, when then-Prime Minister Ariel Sharon suffered a stroke, he was succeeded by Deputy Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. Today, when Netanyahu travels abroad, he is replaced by Justice Minister Yariv Levin.
