The sketch of a little boy who was found dead at the bottom of the Danube in May 2022 is shocking, with his body tied to a concrete block and wrapped in aluminum foil.
Germany’s policedespite intensive investigations, could not identify the little victim and Interpol finally issued yesterday “Black Notice”asking for information.
“German police and INTERPOL are asking for the public’s help in locating a dead boy and to determine the suspicious circumstances of his death,” the announcement states.
The boy’s body, believed to be aged 5-6 years, found on May 19, 2022, near the Bavarian town of Grossbering, population 7,500 However, it is not known how long he was underwaterbefore being withdrawn.
The German police released a 3D rendering of what the boy is believed to have looked like late last year and is offering a €15,000 reward for information leading to the case.
According to Indepol, “the Danube boy” was about 110 cm tall, weighed 15 kg, had brown hair and blood type 0.
The results of the surveys show that the little boy probably spent time outside Germany.
To widen the scope of the investigation, and at the request of the German authorities, INTERPOL has released the black notice to all 195 member countries of the Organization.
“Someone, somewhere, knows something about this boy,” said Jürgen Stock, secretary general of the organization.
