One baby gender reveal party on Saturday turned into a tragedy after a small plane crashed and its pilot was killed, while the guests cheered as they did not realize the tragedy unfolding over their heads.

The happy couple were celebrating the happy event of the child’s birth with family and friends in the city of San Pedro in the state of Sinaloa, Mexico, and hired a small plane to fly pink or powder to reveal the gender of their baby.

As the plane approached mum and dad-to-be, it released pink smoke from its fuselage – indicating they were expecting a daughter. Then there were shouts, applause and cheers of joy as the loved-up couple kissed.

But at the same time, the plane, a Piper PA-25-235 Pawnee, while gaining altitude it “folded” in the air and fell to the ground.

Before realizing the tragedy that had occurred, the couple continued to embrace as family members congratulated them.

The 32-year-old pilot is dead Louis Angel, who was rushed to the hospital where he unfortunately ended up.
