A bus carrying dozens of migrants overturned in southern Mexico today, killing 17 people and injury at least 15, authorities said.

The majority of immigrants were Venezuelans.

The bus was moving on a highway in the State of Oaxaca when it overturned, said the civil protection service of that State in a post on X.

Photos released by the service show the bus overturned on a closed bend in the road.

The authorities of the neighboring State of Puebla they emphasized that 15 injured from the traffic accident were transferred to hospitals in this State.
