If we had such indications, we would have shared them with Israel, the US defense secretary said
The United States has no indication that a Hamas attack on Israel was being prepared, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said today from Brussels, the headquarters of NATO.
“If we had such indications, we would have communicated them to Israel but as far as I know we have not seen anything like this,” he said during a press conference at the end of a meeting of NATO defense ministers in Brussels.
US has no evidence that Lebanon’s Shiite Hezbollah was massing troops to potentially attack Israelwidening the conflict.
The United States they set no conditions on the use of their military aid to Israelwhich responded with massive strikes to the attack launched by Hamas, Austin said.
“We have not put any conditions on the use of our armaments. It is a professional army run by a professional administration. We hope and expect them to do things right in the conduct of their campaign,” the US minister told reporters.
