The terror was experienced by the 373 passengers of the Air Canada Boeing 777-300ER as it was landing at Toronto’s Pearson Airport in Canada as it was hit by crosswinds causing it to… jump onto the runway.

As the Daily Mail reports, the emergency landing of flight AC2 on Monday night it was filmed just as the aircraft was approaching runway 24L at Toronto’s largest airport.

The video shows the aircraft bouncing left and right as smoke billows from the landing gear onto the tarmac and all this happens at the moment of a… sunset.

The pilot eventually managed to stabilize the aircraft and avoided an emergency landing on the runway at the end of the 12-hour flight from Tokyo.

None of the aircraft’s passengers were injured during the incident. “When the plane landed, I heard a heavy bang, the fuselage suddenly jumped and my heart seemed to jump out” stated one of the passengers.
