The head of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, David Barnea (right in photo with Netanyahu), arrived in the capital of Qatar, Dohaon Wednesday to finalize the details of the hostage deal, Israeli media reported.

In recent days, senior US officials have also been in Qatar, working for to ensure the successful implementation of the agreement.

Barnea is expected to meet with Qatar’s prime minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani to discuss the final details of the hostage deal that is set to go into effect tomorrow Thursday morning.

“The trip (by the head of the Mossad) demonstrates that there are still outstanding issues that Israel wants to resolve, even though the (involved) parties have formally approved the agreement” Israeli news site Walla comments.

Questions obviously remain on the mechanism by which the hostages will be released, as well as the start of the ceasefire. Hamas has announced that it will begin at 10 a.m., while Israel has not yet specified the time.

An Israeli official confirmed the start time at 10am. on CNN, but another clarified to Walla that “will only be finalized at the Barnea meeting in Doha.”

Barnea will be joined by Nijan Alon, who holds the hostage portfolio for the IDF.
