The EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, said tonight that the OSCE ministerial conference in Skopje tomorrow and the day after tomorrow will be a good opportunity for Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to hear directly from the participants. because Russia has been condemned and is isolated.

“It will be a good opportunity for Lavrov to hear directly from the participants of this meeting why Russia is doomed and isolated, and then be able to go back to the Kremlin and tell the ruler of the Kremlin that the EU and the OSCE remain united in condemning Russia’s aggressive and illegal behavior. It will be really very useful in that respect,” said Jozep Borel after his meeting in Skopje this evening with the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovacevski.

The Russian foreign minister is expected to arrive in Skopje shortly before midnight.

The US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, was in Skopje today for a few hours, who in the afternoon met with the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia and attended a dinner hosted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia, Bujar Osmani for the participants at the ministerial conference. Late in the evening, Anthony Blinken left Skopje.

The foreign ministers or their representatives of the 57 OSCE member countries will participate in this conference in Skopje.

Greece will be represented at the conference by the permanent representative to the OSCE, Ambassador Konstantinos Kollias.
