An attack against the West was launched once again by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Lavrov during the Ministerial Conference of the OSCE.

The Russian minister told his counterparts that the OSCE was on the brink and that the West was killing the group’s chances of revival, according to Reuters.

“Unfortunately, the Western political elites, who have supported the right to decide the fate of humanity, have made a short-sighted choice not in favor of the OSCE, but in favor of NATO. In favor of the philosophy of containment, zero geopolitical games and the “master-slave” logic.

“One of the key components of this policy was the reckless expansion of NATO to the East, which began after the dissolution of the Warsaw Treaty Organization,” Lavrov said.

During Lavrov’s speech many delegations left the meeting. In particular, as the Guardian website comments, when the Russian Foreign Minister was accusing the member states of NATO and the EU, there were some delegations that got up from their seats as a sign of protest and left the room.

In fact, due to the presence of the Russian Foreign Minister at the conference, his counterparts from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland canceled their participation.
