Israel’s Diaspora Affairs Ministry sent letters to leaders in Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece, Germany and EU representatives
Information about the network and terrorist attacks by Hamas activists is provided through personal letters sent to about twenty European leaders by Israel’s Diaspora Affairs Ministry.
In particular, the letters signed by the Minister of Diaspora Amikai Tsikli, include information about the terrorist activity of Hamas activists and officials of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) in major cities throughout Epirus.
“Weeks have passed since the brutality committed by Hamas on infants, children, the elderly and thousands of Israeli citizens. This is no time for ambiguity. I want to make this absolutely clear. Hamas has proven that its goal is to kill Jews everywhere“, Chikli wrote.
“Since the massacre, the calls for violence against the Jews worldwide have increased by 120% – a shocking statistic. Unfortunately, Hamas’s bloodlust is not limited to Israel and the Jews, but extends to Europe and Christians. I want to remind you that in the past, members of Hamas have expressed the intention that the Islamists will conquer Europe.”
The letters were sent to leaders in Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece, Germany and representatives of the European Union.
“It must be uprooted and eradicated”
“Hamas has been operating for many years globally, mainly through covert humanitarian donations,” said Dzur Bar-Oz, Head of the Department of Research and External Relations at the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs. “This is a complex network of hate that operates in many countries, including Western and ultra-democratic ones. This phenomenon must be rooted out and eliminated as soon as possible. This activity has already produced results and has consequences.”
In addition to the minister’s personal appeal, the letters included elements defaming the activists, including statements, posts praising Hamas’ social media activity and more. “The goal is for these countries to understand that it is a real threat and act to eliminate it.”
