Houthi leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi urges supporters to rally Friday in solidarity with Palestinians
Yemen’s Houthi rebel leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi threatened Thursday that US aggression against his forces in the Red Sea she will not go unpunished.
The threat was contained in a message from the Houthi leader to his supporters, calling on them to gather in the Yemeni capital Sanaa and several provinces on Friday in solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza.
The US Central Command announced in a statement on Sunday that attacked and sank three vessels belonging to the Houthis and killing their crews after they attacked a US Navy ship and helicopters.
“American Zionist arrogance she committed her folly targeting a group of heroes of our naval forces while carrying out their sacred mission in the Red Sea in a treacherous and aggressive manner,” Al Houthi said on Thursday. “Millions will march tomorrow to announce to the whole world that our people are not backing down from their faith-based stand and will not bow to the arrogant.”
Wanting to show solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza for Israeli military operations, the Houthis are targeting with missiles and drones cargo ships in the Red Sea belonging to Israeli companies or ships transporting goods to and from Israel.
twelve nations, led by the United States, they jointly warned the Houthis on Wednesday of “unspecified consequences” unless they stopped attacks on Red Sea ships.
“Let our message be clear now: we demand an immediate end to these illegal attacks and the release of the illegally seized ships and crews,” said the joint statement – an ultimatum released by the White House.
