After order of the International Court of Justice The Hague to Israel to do everything possible to prevent acts of genocide in the Gaza Strip and allow humanitarian aid to enter the area, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made the following statement:

“Consider precious her decision of the International Court of Justice to issue an interim injunction regarding the inhumane attacks on Gaza and I welcome it.

We will continue to monitor the process to ensure that the war crimes committed against innocent Palestinian civilians will not go unpunished.

We hope that this decision, which is binding on the countries that are parties to the Convention (including on the Prevention and Suppression of Crime) against Genocidewill end Israel’s indiscriminate attacks on women, children and the elderly.

As Turkey, we will continue to work with all our might for the implementation of the ceasefire and the path to lasting peace and stand with our Palestinian brothers.”
