A man threatened two police officers with a knife at the Gare de Nord train station in Paris and they responded by opening fire, a police source said.
The incident took place around 7 am local time, with officers then setting up a security perimeter.
A video posted on Twitter appears to show police officers pointing their guns before gunshots were heard.
French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanen wrote on Twitter: “This morning around 7 am, a police patrol was threatened by a man armed with a knife on a public transport in the Ile-de-France area. “The police used their weapon, thus removing any danger, for themselves and for the travelers”.

As of 7am, a police patrol is being handled by an individual armed with a jacket in French-style transports. Police officers use their weapons, also for danger, for memes and for voyages.
