“Death On The Nile” is a commercial success, but will not be shown in Lebanon or Kuwait.
The mystery-thriller starring Tom Bateman, Annette Bening, Russell Bradt, Kenneth Branagh has been banned in both countries due to the participation of Israeli actress Gal Gadot.
Prior to becoming an actress and model, Gal Gadot was drafted into the Israeli army for two years.
In the two countries, which are often at war with Israel, none of the films in which the actress participates will be screened.
According to Deadline, “Death On The Nile” will be screened in other Middle Eastern and Gulf Arab countries, but no requests have been received from Lebanon or Kuwait.

The film is a modern adaptation of the book of the same name by Agatha Christie on the big screen, directed by Kenneth Branagh.
Gal Gadot has sincerely expressed her support for her country and was forced to turn off Twitter comments in 2021 when she tweeted about the Israel-Hamas conflict.
“Death On The Nile” is one of the last films starring Armi Hamer after being accused of sexual assault, as the shooting had already taken place when the allegations were made. There was speculation that he would not appear in the film, but is featured in the trailer and mentioned in the titles.
