US President Joe Biden and German Chancellor Olaf Solz are expected to have a telephone conversation today at around 21:30 Greek time, the White House announced, as the tensions around Ukraine remain high.
This telephone communication is recorded “in the context of close and continuous our coordination with our allies “announced the American presidency, which has been involved in intensive care diplomatic activity in the face of the threat of a Russian invasion that remains “real,” according to Washington.
The communication will take place the day after Olaf Solz’s visit to Moscow, during which the German Chancellor strongly advocated diplomacy.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said the United States had not seen any withdrawal of Russian troops from the border with Ukraine and that Moscow was moving critical units closer to the region.
“There is what Russia says and then there is what Russia does. “And we have not seen any withdrawal of its forces,” Blinken told MSNBC. “We still see critical units moving towards the border, not far from the border.”
