Hezbollah said the four drones it launched “accurately” hit their targets, noting that it was yet another operation in support of Palestinian armed groups in the Gaza Strip.
The Shiite movement Hezbollah of Lebanon announced today that launched an attack with several drones against Israeli air defense positions in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
Hezbollah added that the four drones it launched “accurately” hit their targets, pointing out that it was yet another operation in support of Palestinian armed groups in the Gaza Strip.
Since early October — when the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip began after the Palestinian movement attacked Israel — Hezbollah has been targeting Israeli military positions daily in a show of support for the Palestinians.
Israel has responded by launching strikes against Lebanon, which have mostly been concentrated in the southern part of the country near the border, although targets deeper into Lebanese territory have also been hit in recent weeks.
Since the start of hostilities, nearly 300 people — mostly fighters from Hezbollah and other allied factions, but also at least 46 civilians — have been killed in southern Lebanon, according to an AFP count.
In northern Israel, 16 people — ten members of the armed forces and six civilians — have been killed, according to the Israeli military.
