Iran has no plan for immediate retaliation against Israela senior Iranian official told Reuters, hours after sources said Israel had launched an attack on Iranian soil.

Iranian air defenses have shot down three drones, which were allegedly launched by Israel, according to Iran’s space agency.

“They said they launched 500 drones and missiles… now they are responding with three of these quadcopters, all of which were shot down,” Iran’s space agency spokesman Hossein Dalirian wrote sarcastically to X.

“Following the activation of air defenses in some areas of the country to counter some potential targets, reports indicate that no large-scale strikes or explosions caused by an air threat have been reported so far,” IRNA said early Friday.

Extensive checks in Isfahan, an important central province with major nuclear facilities, show that all sensitive military facilities remain secure, with no incidents reported, it said.

In addition, IRNA said no anti-missile systems had been activated.

Revolutionary Guard-affiliated Fars News released a short video purporting to show the entrance to the air base that was reportedly hit by Israeli missiles, with no movement. Also videos they broadcast Iranian networks show calm in the central square of Isfahan.

Also, Iranian media denies that Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has convened an emergency meeting.

Images of normalcy are also broadcast by Tehran from the airport of Isfahan city, with the airport full of travelers. Iran’s Tasnim network reports that the nuclear facilities in Isfahan province are ‘absolutely safe’citing a “reliable source.”
