The warnings come in response to a US vote to provide $61 billion in new military aid to the Kiev government
Russia will step up strikes against Ukrainian bases where weapons supplied by the West are stored, the defense minister said today Sergei Shoigu in response to the US vote to provide $61 billion in new military aid to the Kiev government.
“We will increase the intensity of attacks on logistical support centers and Western arms storage bases” in Ukraine, the Russian minister said Tuesday in a meeting with senior military personnel, according to the ministry’s Telegram channel.
Shoigu also said that Russia has “dispelled the myth of the superiority of Western weapons” and its forces have secured the lead along a front that stretches for 1,000 km.
He also referred to the fact that Washington is set to provide Ukraine with a new military aid package worth nearly $61 billion, following a vote by the House of Representatives on Saturday.
“In proportion to the threats posed by the US and its allies, we will continue to improve the composition and structure of the Armed Forces and increase the production of the most popular weapons and military equipment,” Shoigu said.
“We will increase the intensity of attacks on logistics centers and storage bases of Western weapons.”
