Scene of absolute destruction. The first moments of the arrival of rescue teams at the wreckage of the helicopter of the Iranian president Ibrahim Raisi and his companions recorded a video that saw the light of day on Monday night.

Through the dense vegetation, the rescuers face utter destruction, as the helicopter has disintegrated, and cry in shock shouting at each other as bodies are found, which have been digitally overlaid on the video.

In the early hours of Monday, after almost 18 hours of searches, the helicopter carrying the president of Iran was located.

Mourning prevails throughout Iran for the death of the popular president Ibrahim Raisi, of Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, but also of the rest of the passengers of the helicopter that crashed.

Seas of people they took to the streets in the capital Tehran and to other cities, to mourn the calamity. Tellingly, Iran’s Tansim news agency appears to show the helicopter intact in heaven.

The funeral ceremonies for the president of Iran will begin tomorrow, Tuesday from the city of Tabrizin the northwest, the official Irna news agency announced today.

The funeral procession for the president and the persons who accompanied him on his trip will take place tomorrow morning at 9.30 (local time, 08.00 Greek time) in Tabriz, and then the bodies will be transferred to Tehran, where the ceremonies will continue, said the agency, citing Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi.
